What is the value of your domain name or the value of a domain name you would like to purchase?
A domain name is worth exactly what a buyer is willing to pay for it. You could have a very attractive domain name but if you have no potential buyer, then there is no value.
There are some domain names do have value and some have significant value based on certain conditions.
1. Is the domain name a ".com" name? ( .com is usually more value then others)
2. How Long or short is the domain name? ( Short is good)
3. Is the domain name attached to a site? (Page rank is a major component)
4. Is the domain name spelled correctly? ( Not good)
5. Does the domain name have a prefixe or suffix? ( Usually not good)
6. How many words are in the domain name? (less words is better)
Before purchasing a domain name check archive.org to see if the domain was previously developed. (If there is a history it could bring the value up)
With the above guideline you can at least get some idea of the value of a domain name whether purchasing or selling.
The site I use as a guide not as actual facts:
https://www.certifiedofferservice.com/CertifiedOffer/offer/makeoffer.do?dom=YourDOMAINHERE.com
1. Click on above link
2. Replace "YourDOMAINHERE.com" (in the address bar) with your own domain name (without the http://www/)
3. Don't make an offer just answer the question "Does YOURDOMAINHERE.COM include the name of a product or service?"
4. Open drop down box and select "No or Don't Know"
5. Your domain name evaluation can be used as a guide for sales or purchases.
FYI: The shorter the domain name the better.
