Infopreneurs Helpful Hints

The absolute very first thing you need to decide, if you want to go into an online business, and what kind of business do you want. Yes I know, you want one that makes money...well if that is the case then lets check to see what is in demand.

There are a few ways we can do this.
1. Check Google Trends
http://www.google.com/trends
This will give us the popularity of the product or topic in the different countries'

2. Check here
http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ or http://www.freewordtrackertool.com/
to determine which word/phrases are searched most often daily. This is called the "Demand"
(How many people searching for that topic or product)

3. Check with
http://www.google.com/ (type in the address bar your product or topic)
This will show how many Web Sites are using that keyword or phrase. This is called the "Suppy" (How many people supply that topic or product) In other words this is your competition.

If the demand is high and the supply is low (this is good)
If the demand is high and the supply is high ( The competition may be to great for a beginner)
If the demand is low and the supply is high (This is not Good)

There is a formula that some use to help them determine the value of the keyword. "KEI" ( Keyword Effectiveness Index).
Example:
The demand for the word or topic "secondlife" is 616 searches a day or 18,480 per month.
The supply for "secondlife" is 7,610,000
The(demand) 18,480 divided by 7,610,000 the (supply) = .0024 Anything above .oo1 is relatively good.

This little tip is extremely important.
Always put a keyword in the title. Example: "Infopreneurs Helpful Hints."
If you type that in the Google Search it will come up on page one fourth or fifth one down.

Tip: When ever you are referring someone to another page through a link, make sure that link opens in a new window so your visitor when done viewing that page has not lost your site. To have a link open in a new window add this:
<a href="TheLinkDomainName.html" target="_blank"
>Link Name</a>

With each letter typed, Google will now presume at what the search query is going to be. That's not all, however.
