Flash SWF and search engines are two elements that do not mix well. Flash swf movies are attractive and eye catching but it is important that you keep it to a minimum. The spider cannot understand flash swf movies and cannot read "swf" format. At least not without assistance and even with assistance I wouldn't count on it. Spiders index filenames (and you will find tons of "flash swf" file names) but not the content inside that file.
Sometimes a flash swf movie is worth the SEO efforts. Maybe to make a outstanding point of some kind, but as a general rule use flash as little as possible.
Do not use flash for navigation. Another mistake is to use images and or javascript for navigation. Good old text links are the only SEO approved way for your navigation.
For those of you who insist on using flash SWF there is a tool named "swf2html" that can assist the advanced user. This tool extracts text links from a flash file and writes the output into a html document. A must to download Flash search engine SDK
